Source policy register

Every database row begins with a source policy.

Maintained observations are enabled only within their approved scope. Undocumented automation, unrestricted caching, and unreviewed republication remain blocked even when a public website exposes an internal endpoint.

NMC_STATE_COUNCIL_SCOPES

32 State Medical Council scopes

Every council scope exposed by the NMC IMR integration is represented in the authority filter. They are searchable through the NMC national index; Maharashtra alone currently also has a separately maintained council-detail pilot. Direct council connectors will be labelled only after their access, evidence and retention rules are validated.

YOGA_NATUROPATHY_STATE_SPECIFIC

Yoga & Naturopathy

AYUSH recognises Yoga and Naturopathy, but no uniform national practitioner register equivalent to NCH or NCISM was identified. Some States regulate these practitioners through their own Acts or combined boards, so Jaanche will show the exact State authority and will not infer nationwide registration.

CHIROPRACTIC_NO_STANDALONE_REGISTER

Chiropractic

Chiropractic is not being presented as a statutorily registered medical system. The national allied-health law expressly lists physiotherapy, including manipulation, but does not name chiropractor or chiropractic as a separate profession. Private association membership must not be displayed as government registration.

MAHARASHTRA_MEDICAL_COUNCIL_PUBLIC_SEARCH

NMC_IMR_PUBLIC_SEARCH

Indian Medical Register (IMR)

Public statutory-register search by name, registration number, year, or State Medical Council. NMC says this public dataset currently covers records received through 2021 and identifies additional 2021 gaps for Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, and Delhi. User-triggered lookup caches only a minimized professional index; public bulk republication remains disabled without written permission.

MCH_KYD_PUBLIC_SEARCH

Maharashtra Homoeopathy Know Your Doctor register

Public Maharashtra Homoeopathy practitioner search by source-reported name, with council registration number, qualification and district. Name search is live and cached only as a minimized professional record. Portal status and current renewal validity are distinct; recheck the linked council card for a present-status decision. Dates of birth, contact data and unrelated personal fields are neither returned nor stored by this platform.

NCH_NATIONAL_REGISTER

National Register for Homoeopathy

National and older Central Register routes for licensed Homoeopathy practitioners, backed by State register status. The current NRH public verification route is enrollment-oriented and some historical records remain in the older CRH volumes/search. State-council coverage and name format vary. It is not counted as checked until a policy-approved observation is collected.

COVERAGE TARGET
NCISM_AYURVEDA_NATIONAL_REGISTER

Ayurveda National Register notifications

Official national and provisional State-wise Ayurveda register publications, including national registration number, practitioner name, qualification and State registration particulars. NCISM publishes the register as State-wise documents rather than one uniform search API. Imports therefore retain publication and State provenance and exclude addresses, relatives, dates of birth and contact fields.

NCISM_UNANI_NATIONAL_REGISTER

Unani National Register notifications

Official national and provisional State-wise Unani register publications with national and State registration particulars. NCISM publishes Unani separately from Ayurveda. Imports preserve that medical-system namespace and reject residential addresses, relatives, birth dates and contact fields.

NCISM_SIDDHA_NATIONAL_REGISTER

Siddha National Register notifications

Official national and provisional State-wise Siddha register publications. Publications are document-based and available only for participating State submissions. Absence from the loaded index is not an invalidity finding.

NCISM_SOWA_RIGPA_NATIONAL_REGISTER

Sowa-Rigpa National Register notifications

AYUSH_YOGA_NATUROPATHY_COVERAGE

Yoga & Naturopathy regulatory coverage

Recognised AYUSH system with practitioner regulation that varies by State, including some combined Indian-medicine boards and dedicated State legislation. No uniform national statutory practitioner register equivalent to NCH or NCISM was identified. Jaanche therefore requires an exact State authority and will not infer national registration.

NDC_INDIAN_DENTISTS_REGISTER

Indian Dentists Register

Official national register entries supplied by State Dental Councils, with dentist name, registration number and registering Dental Council. The public register uses a state-supplied web directory rather than a stable documented API. Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR)

Public discovery of healthcare professionals whose verified HPR profiles are visible by consent. HPR enrollment and public visibility are optional. PRACTICE-LOCATION ENRICHMENT

Official evidence first. Public directories generate candidates.

Facility existence and doctor affiliation are stored as separate claims. A lower-tier listing is never promoted silently merely because a name and city look similar.

Tier 1AUTHORITATIVE CLAIM

ABDM Health Facility Registry public search

An HFR profile can establish a facility name, identifier, professional address, type and website. It does not by itself establish that a named doctor works there.
